The main duties of the Advisory Board are the promotion of communication between the users of biotechnology and gene technology and the promotion of the research in the fields. It follows the development of environmental effects and risk assessment in biotechnology, as well as advances information and education in the fields of bio- and gene technology, and in particular promotes the ethical perspective in gene technology.
