Sandia National Laboratories’ International Biological Threat Reduction Program (IBTR), in association with the US Department of State’s Biosecurity Engagement Program (BEP), is pleased to offer a training course in laboratory biorisk management for participants from Afghanistan May 2-7, 2011. The course will be held in IBTR’s facilities in Albuquerque, New Mexico, US.
The IBTR Controlling Biorisks Training Course is a five-day introductory course on laboratory biosafety and biosecurity. It aims to give participants an understanding of the importance of these topics, taking an integrated approach as endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO).
The training also includes a sixth-day of official IATA training in shipping dangerous goods.
Our unique facility, expert instructors, and special curriculum ensure participants leave the course with a strong foundation in the principles of laboratory biorisk management.
