On March 18, 2011, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) published in the Federal Register a notice regarding the Select Agent Program Workshop which will be presented by the APHIS and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Select Agent Programs and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on May 10, 2011 in Ames, IA at the USDA’s National Centers for Animal Health.
The one-day workshop will include information on facility and security reviews, incident response plans, personnel reliability programs, Executive Order 13546- “Optimizing the Security of Biological Select Agents and Toxins in the United States”, and revisions to the “National Institutes of Health Guidelines for Research Involving Recombinant DNA Molecules.”
Please note that there will not be a webinar as indicated in the Federal Register Notice and there is only one registration form regardless of U.S. citizenship status.
