The National Biotechnology Policy is a commitment by the government to develop biotechnology as a platform for an innovation-led economy. The National Biotechnology Division (BIOTEK) in MOSTI is responsible for steering the national biotechnology agenda through research and technology development and the promotion of biotechnology.

Malaysian Biotechnology Corporation
Malaysian Biotechnology Corp. is a government-owned company established by the National Biotechnology Division of the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation to develop and promote an agro-based industry from biotechnology research.
